Hannah Oluwayemisi OLAWUMI, is a Professor in the Department of Haematology, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with 25 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience. She has served as Head of the Department of Haematology and Director of the Stem Cell Research Centre of the University. Her areas of research interest include Blood transfusion, blood donors and donations, and transfusion transmissible infections. She has to her credit, close to 90 publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. She has successfully supervised over 20 Fellowship dissertations and one Ph.D. thesis. She has also won a number of research grants. She has served as an external examiner in both undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in several Universities across Nigeria. Professor Olawumi is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
