Biography

Dr. (Mrs) Khadijat Olaitan OMOKANYE is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary consultant in the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ilorin. She earned her medical degree at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and completed her residency training in haematology at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. She became a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCPath) She obtained a Master’s degree in Health Planning Management (MHPM) at the University of Ilorin. Her research interests are in red cell haematology, haemato-oncology and thrombosis. She is a member of the Ethics research committee of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and the residency coordinator in the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion. She has over twenty publications in reputable journals. Dr. Omokanye is a member of many professional bodies.
