Abiola Samuel Babatunde, is a Professor in the Department of Haematology & Blood Transfusion, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, University of Ilorin with 23 years university teaching, research, and administrative experience. He has served as Head of Department, and Acting Dean of the Faculty. He is the current Head of Department and the Director, Stem Cell Research Centre of the University. His areas of research interest cover General Haematology, Haemato-oncology, Haemostasis & Thrombosis and Stem cell research. He has to his credit over 75 publications in reputable outlets covering journal articles and edited conference proceedings. He has successfully supervised over 20 Postgraduate Fellowship dissertations and 2 Master’s degree thesis. He has equally won a number of research grants, and has attended several conferences within and outside Nigeria. Professor Abiola S. Babatunde is also a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
